In Papiamentu, Pasku means Christmas, and Ham di Pasku is the Christmas ham that sits at the centre of the holiday table across Curaçao. Families slice it for Christmas Eve dinner, for breakfast on Christmas morning and for sandwiches long after.
A Curaçao Christmas ham is rarely served without piccalilli, the bright, tangy mustard relish known locally as pikalili. We kept that pairing and put it on a pizza.
